High capacity - any codec (including H.264), any speed (up to 4Mbit/s), any resolution (up to XGA) and any layout (including 42 continuous presence layouts) on any port without loss of capacity of capabilities. The 40 port MCU 4220 is always 40 ports of video plus 40 additional ports of audio.
Best quality for each participant - video and audio processing is performed for each site rather than per conference which allows each site a feed tailored to their capabilities and the best possible video and audio for their link.
High resolution - support for QCIF, CIF, 4CIF, SVGA and XGA on all ports with no reduction in the number of sites supported.
Advanced compression - support for H.261, H.263, H.263+, H.263++, H.264. All sites can connect with the optimum codec and there is no reduction in the number of sites or conferences supported even if all sites connect using H.264
High bandwidth - each site can connect at up to 4Mbit/s using H.263 or up to 2=Mbit/s using H.264 without reducing the number of sites supported.
Advanced continuous presence - each site can choose voice switching or one of 42 custom continuous presence layouts independantly of all of the other conference participants. Each site can independantly select who can see.
Extremely low latency - less than 100ms.
Built-in streaming server - allows streaming of live conferences to a Web interface; viewed using QuickTime™ or RealPlayer™ to any web browser.
Standards based and compatable - optimized for use in IP networks to give you the best possible video quality in real world network conditions and have proven compatibility with all major vendors.
